On August 16th, 2021, eleven local youth worked with Ottawa mural artist Ryan Smeeton to design and create a beautiful outdoor mural painting at the Blackburn Community Hall. There were 4 boys and 7 girls who participated. The mural project was organized by the BCA and sponsored by the City of Ottawa, specifically, the annual Paint It Up! mural program run by Crime Prevention Ottawa. The official unveiling of the mural took place on August 24, 2021.
