As part of its youth engagement activities, the Blackburn Community Association is once again supporting the creation of a new outdoor mural in our community.
Local youth aged 10-17 are invited to collaborate with Ottawa mural artist Ryan Smeeton in the design and installation of the new mural this summer. The new mural will be located at 200 Glen Park Drive, on the side of the Lois Kemp Arena that faces toward the Metro.
Ryan Smeeton will hold an in-person design consultation with interested youth on July 11th outdoors by the community hall, which is the location of the unique mural that he designed and painted last summer in collaboration with Blackburn youth. The new mural will be installed August 8th and 9th.
Youth who would like to participate in the design and installation of the new mural are invited to send an email to youth@blackburnhamlet.ca at their earliest convenience and not later than June 16th.
