Outdoor rinks open!

Outdoor skating rinks in Blackburn Hamlet are now open the community!

For those of you looking to get outside this holiday season consider checking out our rinks at Norman Johnston School, Bearbrook park or Micohael Budd Park.

This year, with the recent spike in COVID case counts due to Omicron, we will again keep our ice huts closed to the public and will be putting in place benches for skaters to use. Please practice proper social distancing while using the rinks and follow Ottawa Public Health Guidelines when out on the ice.

The most up to date guidance can be found at this link here.

We are also still looking to hire student rink attendants. If you are looking for part time work in the community and are interested in helping to maintain the rinks, please email Mark at president@blackburnhamlet.ca for more details.
