Good morning everyone! I have truly appreciated seeing the community support during this crisis and I thank everyone who has been able to help their neighbours make it through this. For most of us, the worst is over, but not for everyone. Some people still have no power, many of us have limited or no Internet, and some people cannot afford to replace lost perishables. I’m sure there are other challenges as well.
With that in mind, we would greatly appreciate hearing suggestions for how the Blackburn Community Association can help. Your ideas have helped us understand where the greatest needs are and we encourage you to continue submitting your suggestions.
We thank the Lifecentre Food Bank for running an emergency food bank that helped 34 families in need and we managed to hand out more than 40 food vouchers today and will continue to look for opportunities to help our community through this challenging time.
Thank you.
