As Bob Jamieson has mentioned already in this Banar, he and I met with a consultant who was conducting an environmental assessment of an area of land at the east end of the Hamlet. The assessment was for the NCC, who own the land, and for the City of Gloucester. The City wants to build a new fire station and fire training facility in the area. The building design was not completed but it looked about the same size as the station at Blair and Innes with the addition of a fire training tower. This would likely be similar to Ottawa’s facility located on Industrial just west of St.Laurent. The site will be buffered from the community by a minimum of 100 feet of existing trees and the buildings themselves were at the east side of the lot.
