Neighbourwoods is a community-based tree inventory, monitoring and stewardship planning program. Volunteers will receive free training from forestry professionals and work in Blackburn Hamlet to conduct a tree inventory to inform our community on issues and opportunities relating to our urban forest. The annual Blackburn FUNFAIR celebrates community spirit in the first weekend of June. The fair features a carnival style midway, music, local vendors, a used book fair, beer garden and fireworks!

Local youth (aged 10-13) are invited to participate in a Midsummer Poetry Party in the park event on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 from 2:30pm to 4pm. This event will give Blackburn youth a chance to get together with friends and peers and celebrate the imminent arrival of summer in the great outdoors in our great community!
