On February 24, 2025, a joint presentation by the Ottawa Police and the Blackburn Hamlet Community Association’s Neighborhood Watch team was conducted with a focus on current and potential Block Captains.  For those who were unable to attend, you can find a summary report on

Ottawa Fire Services have responded to ‼️75+ calls‼️since Friday related to Carbon Monoxide & Odour of Natural Gas in the home caused by the snowstorms. Please be vigilant and take the time to go outside to check & please test your carbon monoxide alarms.
