Don Kelly, BCA Director
On June 21, the BCA held a First Aid Training course at Aspira Bearbrook Retirement Living Residence. The 6-hour course was designated as a CPR Level C & AED (Adult, Childo, Infant), and covered: Responding to Emergencies, Airway Emergencies, Breathing & Circulation Emergencies, CPR, Cardiac Arrest & AED. The 11 graduates received a Canada Red Cross certification valid for 3 years.
The BCA would like to acknowledge the special support and cooperation provided by Aspira. They have allowed the BCA to conduct First Aid Training at their location for the past 2 years and have also been generous in providing a light snack to all of our participants. The BCA would also like to extend appreciation to the Chief Instructor, Paul Needham of PMSK FirstAid, and the Canada Red Cross for their continuing support of this training.
Please note this was the final First Aid Training course for 2025. The BCA is planning the next First Aid course in March 2026. For all inquiries contact Don Kelly at safety@blackburnhamlet.ca.
