The second annual BCA Christmas Craft Show was held on Saturday, November 25, at the Blackburn Hamlet Community Center. This event is designed to support and showcase local artisans in our area, and all funds raised through fees or donations go to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation to help mental health.
This year we welcomed over 300 people who browsed the 19 vendors showcasing a wide variety of wares from Christmas ornaments and books, jewelry and cosmetics, to food, such as delicious fudge and ornamental cookies.
Comments from the vendors highlighted how the quaintness and ambiance of the Hall made it attractive to our visitors. Comments from visitors noted that the diverse presentations of wares created an enjoyable and relaxing experience. A big thanks to Angie Jodoin who was instrumental in setting up the Hall and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The BCA is planning the 2024 Craft Show and we hope to see you there. If you have comments on what you would like to see at the 2024 event, please contact Jenny Lawrence at jenny@blackburnhamlet.ca.
