DISCOVERY CAFÉ Lecture Series – The Role of Renewable Energy in the Energy Mix – Dr. David Holmes

Admission is free, no registration is required, people of all ages are welcome, and refreshments will be served.

This session will focus on the various forms of renewable energy and their present and future contributions to our overall energy use in Canada and elsewhere.

David Holmes has a PhD in photochemistry. He has had a varied career as a researcher, librarian and an academic administrator. Currently retired, he has worked at the National Research Council, the University of Western Ontario, the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. He was University Librarian and Assistant Vice-President at Carleton. During the ill-fated National Energy Program, he established a renewable energy library and information centre at the NRC. He has taught at Carleton and in the Learning in Retirement program.
