Have you ever wondered why we are hearing so much about climate change these days? Join Elsa Da Costa as she explains the impacts of climate change, why it is such an important issue today, why governments have been meeting annually about the issue for 30 years, why the private sector is now getting involved (like your banks and pension managers), and what are some of the main things happening in Canada to transition to low-carbon.
Elsa Da Costa has over 15 years of experience in the field of reporting on environment and sustainable development matters. She has worked for the federal government on a number of reports relating to the environment and sustainable development on sustainable development and climate change topics.
She also worked as an international environmental consultant on a variety of topics including: climate change, biodiversity, disaster management and land degradation for the Canadian International Development Agency, the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, the Global Environment Facility, United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations environmental conventions.
