It was our biggest year yet! More than 260 people joined in the 7th annual Blackburn Hamlet Spring Clean-up, held on Saturday, April 21st. Each year, this event grows and the impact on our community grows with it. More and more, we see people picking up litter throughout the year, a great way to help the community stay cleaner all year long.
A big thank you goes out to each person and family that took the time out of busy schedules to pitch into this community effort. Many thanks also to all those who helped out in other ways such as transporting waste back to the Community Hall, organizing the BBQ, flipping the burgers, and providing City of Ottawa door prizes. Thanks to the BCA for their generous support of this community event.
We look forward to seeing you again next year!
