Despite some questionable weather, the 16th annual Blackburn Hamlet Spring Cleanup, held on Saturday, April 22nd was a great success! Over 110 volunteers cleaned up various areas all over the hamlet and picked up a mountain of garbage!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped to clean up our community. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with event planning, registration coordination, and picking up large garbage items, as well as our local Metro, and our local Tim Hortons for providing hot chocolate, coffee and Tim Bits for all of the volunteers! A special thank you as well to former councillor Rainer Bloess for providing door prizes and to the entire BBQ crew for their BBQ flipping skills, and overall cheer. This event was sponsored by the Blackburn Hamlet Community Association. Thanks again to everyone and see you again next year!
