David Purchase, BCA Director & Cancer Chase Chair
Mark your calendars — this year’s Cancer Chase will take place on Saturday, September 27th at the Blackburn Community Hall, located at 190 Glen Park Drive. A full schedule of events will be published in the next issue of the BANAR.
Organized by the Blackburn Community Association (BCA), the Cancer Chase is a fun-filled, family-friendly event that raises money for cancer research at The Ottawa Hospital. Over the years, the event has contributed more than $300,000 to this important cause. We’re incredibly proud to support Ottawa’s world-class cancer care and research facilities and the exceptional team of doctors, nurses, researchers, and support staff behind them.
This year’s event will feature many of the activities you’ve come to love. The ever-popular Silent Auction, offering amazing deals, will once again be a highlight. The Loonie Line and Selfie Stations will also return, inviting participants to dress up in fun costumes and let their creativity fly!
Our continued success relies on the incredible energy and dedication of our volunteers. Whether you’re interested in helping set up, staffing booths, or donating an item for the auction, we’d love to have your support.
Together, let’s keep this tradition strong and continue making a real difference in our community.
If you would like to help with the event, please contact David Purchase at cancerchase@blackburnhamlet.ca.
