The Blackburn Hamlet Community Association charity event “Cancer Chase” is returning to Blackburn Hamlet in 2024. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances our plans to hold the event at Just Food is no longer feasible. Cancer Chase 2024 will still be held on September 8 but now at the Blackburn Hamlet Community Hall, 190 Glen Park Drive. Keep watching the BCA website, look for posters, read your Banar or look on social media for exacting details, such as registration, start times and the schedule of events.
This year the BCA Cancer Chase event will have a variety of activities, ranging from the Silent Auction where many incredible products will be made available at significantly reduced prices, to the Family Orientated Walk/Run of 5K and 1K. Each registrant of the Walk/Run event will receive a Notable Prize and a Swag Bag that holds trinkets & snacks for all ages. Each registrant will also receive a wrist bracelet that reads “Chase the Cure”. Refreshments and veggie snacks will be made available. After the Walk/Run come join us for a Yoga session and learn about pranayama, meditation and led relaxation.
All funds raised from Cancer Chase go directly to cancer research at the Ottawa Hospital via the Ottawa Hospital Foundation (OHF). The Cancer Chase event has become a vibrant community event that can be enjoyed by the entire family. We would be delighted to have you join us on September 8 and together we can “Chase the Cure”.
