We’re Getting All Spruced Up For You

If you’ve noticed a flurry of gardening activity in the Hamlet it’s not all just due to the yearly spring planting ritual. Thirteen of our gardeners are transplanting, dividing, weeding, edging and tidying to get their garden creations ready to show off in the 4th Annual Blackburn Hamlet Garden Tour on June 24th. Rain or shine our garden “show-ers” and 200 “show-ees” will meet to admire, take pictures, trade gardening anecdotes, offer advice, trade information and indulge their passion for gardening with likeminded enthusiasts of every age and experience level.

The fame of our tour has spread so that the 200 tickets disappear quickly. We have been told by many that ours is the best garden tour in the region and frankly, we believe them! We do have an amazing variety of garden shapes, sizes, plants, flowers, vines, ponds, fountains, sculptures and landscaping and the friendliest, most helpful gardeners you could wish for.

Don’t forget the added bonuses of delicious, refreshing afternoon tea with some fresh scones at the lovely Amica at Bearbrook Court hosted by some of the charming Seniors in residence, a free perennial from Budd Gardens and draw prizes for nursery gift certificates.

Tickets go on sale June 1st at Blackburn Home Hardware and Budd Gardens. Cost is $10.00. Get yours early to avoid disappointment!
