DESCRIPTION:Do you have enough JOY in your closet? Do you want to refresh your wardrobe AND support sustainable fashion? \nThen you absolutely cannot miss our Spring Community Closet event organized by the Blackburn Community Association’s Environment Committee! \nBring your friends\, family and loved ones to the Community Hall on April 15. We will have a variety of new-to-you clothing that is freshly laundered\, FREE\, and ready to be rocked by you! \nTo ensure we are creating an inclusive space at our swap\, we will be inviting participants to come according to the following schedule: \n\n9am – 11 am – seniors and adults who benefit from a quiet environment\n11am – 1 pm – families\n1pm – 5pm – everyone\n\nDonations for the swap will be accepted from February 1st. Please provide GENTLY USED CLOTHING DONATIONS ONLY (we will not accept accessories\, shoes\, or undergarments).  Drop off at 9 Catalpa Court or 2188 Orient Park Dr.  \nWe are looking for volunteers to help on April 15th. SUMMARY:21st Annual Blackburn Hamlet Spring Clean-up
DESCRIPTION:Along with many other communities of the Ottawa area\, the Blackburn Community Association holds an annual Spring Clean-Up.  Please volunteer to help us out; we will assign you a small area of Blackburn for litter pick-up plus provide you with garbage bags and latex gloves. The litter and recyclables can be brought back to the Community Hall.  This event runs on April 29th from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning. Volunteers are then invited to a BBQ (including vegetarian options) to say thanks for all your ‘dirty’ work. \nIf you have any questions or would like to help with the event\, contact the BCA Environment Committee at: cleanup@blackburnhamlet.ca. \nWhen: Saturday April 29th at 9:30 a.m. \nRain date: Sunday April 30th at 9:30 a.m.
