BCA Bites

Flashback to our 1972 Membership Campaign...

The record of achievement by the Association is one of which we can all be proud. We now have excellent bus service, the guides, scouts and brownies are running smoothly, Gloucester Township Council has heard from us, skating will be enjoyed again this winter, our streets are well lighted, hockey and softball are enjoyed by our children… the Blackburn Community Association made these things happen. We are not going to relax our efforts to make YOUR community a pleasant, safe and enjoyable place to live. We need your support, so when the canvasser calls on you, please have the cash ready, so that you can have a voice at our General Meetings, and help us make YOUR community the best place in which to live.

It's BCA Membership Renewal Time!

Please remember that BCA memberships expired on June 30, 2026.

A BCA Membership is only $10 per family at the same address. A family is defined as two adults and all dependents at the same address. The membership is valid from July 1st of one year to June 30th of the subsequent year.

Free paper shredding - limit of one Bankers Box per person. Ottawa Police and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre will also provide Fraud Awareness information. More Info

Neighbourhood Watch

Neighbourhood Watch Blackburn Hamlet

View the current BCA Neighbourhood Watch report Online. Topics include Fraud within the Home and Office and Crimes reported in Blackburn Hamlet over the past month.

Report all crime or attempted crimes to the Ottawa Police.

If you have not joined Neighbourhood Watch, please go to this link within the Blackburn Community Association website under "Safety" (blackburnhamlet.ca/our-work/safety/neighbourhood-watch/), complete the form and submit. You will be added to the email distribution list through an assigned Block Captain.

Awareness is the first step in personal Crime Prevention.

Rain Barrel Sale

We love the environmental benefits of rain barrels!

The money from this sale will be used to host Chatelaine Villages Community Association events like an upcoming clothing swap, the removal of invasive species project, pumpkin walk etc. Their events are free and have been opened to everyone regardless of their neighbourhood.
