The recent postponement of the annual community cleanup was unfortunate, but as we work on finding a new date, the Blackburn Community Association encourages residents to keep in mind that keeping our community clean doesn’t have to be part of an organized event; it’s something that can be done every day.

As you are walking through the community in the coming weeks, we encourage you to pick up litter when you find it and either dispose of it in one of many garbage cans throughout the Hamlet (usually located in parks), or consider carrying a garbage bag with you.

This is also a great activity for parents who want to teach their children the importance of keeping our environment clean and green.

As soon as the Blackburn Community Association selects a new date for the cleanup, we’ll let you know. But in the meantime, every little bit helps.
