  • Mosquito control information session and discussion

    October 5, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

    Residents are invited to an information session on Thursday, October 5th at 6:30 p.m. at the Blackburn Community Hall to learn about what other Ottawa communities are doing to address mosquitoes and to discuss possible options for Blackburn Hamlet. This meeting is being organized by the Blackburn Community Association at the request of several local residents and will feature representatives from:

    • GDG Environnement Inc, a company that specializes in biological applications to control biting insects (visit for more information)

    • Councillor Jody Mitic

    • National Capital Commission

    • Communities who have actively addressed mosquito populations

    • Environmental groups

    • Community association representatives
